John Gerling is a full time professional in the field of microwave heating. He has provided consulting, research, marketing, product development, process development, expert witness and company management services. He currently provides consulting services in the domestic microwave oven and industrial microwave heating fields.

     Bachelor of Electrical Engineering - Cornell University - 1951

     1951 – 1953   Air Force R & D officer in charge of magnetron reliability for SAC bomb/nav radar systems

     1953 – 1958   Applications Engineering Manager for the Microwave Tube Division of Litton Industries 

     1958 – 1963   Director of Marketing of Radiation at Stanford 

     1963 – 1968   VP – Manager of the Industrial Microwave Div. of the Atherton Div. of Litton Industries 

     1968 – 1973   Co-founder of Genesys Systems Inc and manager of the Industrial Microwave Operations

     1973 – 1977   Co-founder  and President of Gerling Moore Inc., a developer and manufacturer of industrial microwave heating systems

     1977 – 1992   Founder, Owner and President of Gerling Laboratories. Gerling Laboratories engaged in consulting, research and production activities in the industrial and domestic microwave oven fields.

     1992 – 1994   Founded JG Microwave, a consulting company. Principle activity during these two years was the development of a microwave clothes dryer for the Electric Power Research Institute.
